[Behind the Scenes] Working on the Takanome Video
This is the behind-the-scenes story of making the video
“I got 100$ Nihonshu in my bed BY CHANCE!”
Out of all the videos I’ve made so far, this one took the most time
and caused the most stress.
I used a green screen extensively — something I had barely used properly before —
and I also relied heavily on magnetic masking.
Because the final result didn’t match what I had imagined,
I had to constantly crop and resize during editing.
Since the project included a lot of stop-motion shots,
there were moments where I had to adjust the crop and scale
literally frame by frame.
If you stay focused, it’s not an impossibly long task.
But when you’re staring at footage that looks different from what you had envisioned —
and you suddenly realize how many things need fixing —
that brief wave of “Where do I even start?” feels unavoidable.

In a cramped space, using a green screen barely my size made it tough —
and led to a lot of extra cropping and adjustments.
